Chick-Fil-A Merrillville is known as the home of the original chicken sandwich. The combination of great food options and five star hospitality to its guests have made Chick-Fil-A a household name across the country.

Beginning October 1st, Chick-Fil-A Merrillville began offering the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and the Autumn Spice Milkshake as the two new seasonal items for the fall. As an employee, I decided to try it to give a review on the items.

The Autumn-Spice Milkshake is a hand-spun milkshake that is made of cinnamon flavoring, and sugar-spice cookies topped off with whipped cream and cherry. I’m not a fan of fall flavored items so I wasn’t expecting it to be good at all, but this milkshake is definitely worth a try. It has a smooth and crunchy texture with a sweet cinnamon flavor. Some people may think it’s too sweet, but I thought it was just right.

The next item that was released for the fall was the Grilled Spicy Deluxe sandwich. The sandwich comes with a grilled filet marinated with a blend of peppers and served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and colby jack cheese. Weeks before the sandwich was revealed, I had been hearing rumors about it, but I thought it was just all talk. I was surprised when it was actually revealed, so me and my coworkers all had to try it when we got off of work. The Sandwich of course had a spicy flavor which wasn’t overbearing and makes it more flavorful than the regular grilled sandwich. It’s definitely worth a try and is one of the best sandwiches that Chick-Fil-A has to offer at the moment, so you should try it before it’s gone in the winter time.
