Seniors plan to break staff win streak
As the students work on a new strategy to beat the staff in Friday’s senior vs staff basketball game, they’re hoping to break the 17 year winning streak the staff holds.
“As long as the students pull it together and play as a team I think we’ll have a real chance at winning this year,” Senior Brooklyn Edwards said
The senior team has been practicing hard every Wednesday to prepare.
“I feel great about my team this year. We have a solid team, we have a solid coach and we’re going to be good this year,” Senior Walter Mason said
While the seniors we’ve talked to are confident in the abilities of the team the staff still feels differently. They haven’t lost a game since 2006.
“The Bulls have Michael Jordan, we’ve got coach Patton until you guys can’t figure it out, it’s game over,” Mr. Tim McCoy said
This year be on the lookout for a new twist to the basketball game.
“The senior vs staff basketball game is the beginning of all cool things. We have the basketball game and we’ll have a tug of war that day then we go into senior drive around baccalaureate and the many other cool things,” Mr. Dan Schoon said.
The senior vs staff basketball game is only the beginning.
“I think they’ll be very excited because this is the year we’ll finally be able to do everything that’s on our schedule and with new things added I’m very excited,” Edwards said
