Describe how you felt when you found out that you were nominated?

I was actually surprised because I didn’t know you could get nominated and when I got the slip I was like thats kind of crazy.

What are you most looking forward to at Prom?

I’m looking forward to hanging out with my friends and i know what they’re wearing so i know they’re going to look good and I’m going to look good, and we’re all gonna have a good time. 

Why do you think you should be voted Prom King? 

I think people should vote for me because I’m a genuine person. I, as well as others, see myself as a well-rounded individual who cares for everyone around him. I do everything within my power to make sure that the people I care about are doing as good as they possibly can. This however doesn’t just extend to them, it extends to everyone who just so happens to meet me. Obviously, I haven’t made the best impression on everyone, and I’ve made mistakes. I’m human! Overall I think anyone should vote me simply because I’m a good person.

What activities are you involved in? 

I’m in Mock Trial, Advanced Orchestra, Superintendent Student Advisory Council, National Honors Society and Academic Super Bowl

Do you have any special plans for campaigning?

I don’t know how to campaign for real but I’m going to use a lot of social media and put a big old poster in the cafeteria.   

What are your predictions for who should win? 

Ultimately, I’m not too sure who will win. Whoever does win probably deserves it and I will definitely send my congratulations in accordance. This has been such an incredible experience and overall fun journey! 

Noah Molenda

Describe how you felt when you found out that you were nominated.

When I found out I was nominated, I was sort of surprised. At the time, I was still debating if I wanted to go to Prom this year or not, but the nomination definitely influenced my decision to go. I was also proud that my teachers recognized me as a student they wanted to nominate.

What are you most looking forward to at Prom?

I am most looking forward to hanging out with my friends and just having a good time with everyone. Prom is something you only experience a couple times so just making memories with my favorite people will be nice.

Why do you think you should be voted for Prom King? 

I think I should be voted for homecoming king because of my involvement at the school. I feel that maintaining honor roll grades while being involved in sports and activities outside of school is something that should be celebrated and recognized. I’m also intertwined in a lot of various friend groups throughout the school, and I feel like I do well at meshing with a variety of students.

What activities are you involved in?

I am involved in extracurriculars and sports at MHS. I’m on the Varsity Tennis team and a captain of the Boys Volleyball team. I’m a member of the National Honors Society, Thespian Troupe, Yearbook, and the editor of the newspaper.

Do you have any special plans for campaigning?

I have a couple posters made, and I plan on handing out food and treats during lunch hours. I feel like campaigning is a really fun part of getting the full Prom Court experience, so that’ll be cool.

What is your prediction about who will win?

I’ll be glad with whoever wins because Mareo and Carlton have been some of my closest friends for years. I feel like everyone in this position would envision themselves winning, so I imagine that.

Mareo Mukes 

Describe how you felt when you found out that you were nominated.

I was surprised because I didn’t think anybody knew about me and I wasn’t expecting to get nominated but I was really excited and really grateful when I got nominated. I wasn’t thinking about going to prom but this made me want to go. 

What are you most looking forward to at Prom?

I am looking forward to hanging out with my friends, taking pictures, dancing, hanging out with friends after prom and going out to eat will be really fun.

Why do you think you should be voted for Prom King? 

People should vote for me because I am the best candidate on the lineup. I am hardworking and persistent, and throughout it all, I love to have fun and try new things. I always stay optimistic even when things look down. This is why people should vote for me for Prom King.

What activities are you involved in?

I’m on the Boys Volleyball team and Varsity Tennis, as well as a member of the National Honors Society.

Do you have an special plans for campaigning?

I was going to do something like recreating movie posters, passing stuff out, and posting on social media and telling my friends to share it. I got the idea [for the posters] when Merci (Tan) was recreating movie posters (last year) so I was thinking about doing something similar to that, and I really hope it can get approved. 

What is your prediction for who will win?

I hope that I will win but if I dont win I hope that Noah could win because I think he deserves the win.
