Describe how you felt when you found out you were nominated for Prom Queen
I didn’t really know that I was going to get nominated. I didn’t really plan to campaign or do anything so I guess I was kind of surprised, but it was exciting at the same time.
What are you most looking forward to at Prom?
Well like everyone else I’m looking forward to dressing up, wearing my dress, getting my makeup and hair and pictures, so just the normal stuff.
Why do you think people should vote for you?
I think people should vote for me for Prom Queen because I am in sports and stuff in the school, and I am the first female wrestler to be on the boys team so I think people should vote for me for that.
What activities are you involved in?
I did get accepted to the National Honor Society this year, I did do cross country this year, and I’ve been on the boys varsity wrestling team for three years now.
Do you have any special plans for campaigning
I did make posters and I’m bringing so many snacks, so I’m just kind of relying on snacks and stuff for people to vote for me because people do love food. I mean who doesn’t love food?

At the actual event itself, I think I’m most looking forward to just seeing everybody in their dresses and their suits and seeing who has the best dress and just hanging out with my friends.
Why do you think people should vote for you?
I think people should vote for me because I’m very involved in the school. I’m in a lot of activities. I’m class president, secretary of HOSA, I’m in NHS, and I’m a licensed CNA. The list goes on. I think I’m nice, you know, or at least I think I’m nice. I’m caring, considerate, and I’m a very hard worker.
Do you have any special plans for campaigning?
Not yet. I’m kind of just handing snacks out and all of that. I have some of my friends wearing T-shirts. But yeah, I’m just putting posters around the school.
Anything else you’d like to say?
Right now, I’m kind of feeling just kind of stressed out with all the campaigning and all of that, but I feel like at the end, it will all be worth it you know? It’ll be fun.

Describe how you felt when you found out you were nominated for Prom King
It felt surreal when I found out I was nominated, and it didn’t kick in until Mr. Krutz announced it over the intercom. After that my friends and teachers started to congratulate me and then the excitement started to settle in.
What are you most looking forward to at prom?
I am looking forward to dressing up and getting out of the house to have a fun time with my friends and peers.

Describe how you felt when you found out you were nominated for Prom King
Honestly I was more surprised ‘cause at first I wasn’t planning on going to prom, and then I get called down to the office and saying “Hey, you wanna go to prom?” I was like “nah.” “Oh, well you’re gonna be a candidate,” and I’m like “Whelp I guess I’m going to prom.” So I’m just kind of happy to be a candidate.
What are you most looking forward to at Prom?
Honestly, good food. To maybe meet a few new people and to have fun with my friends because I never go to school dances or anything like that. This’ll kind of be one of the first times.
Why do you think people should vote for you?
I think people should vote for me. Honestly I think I’m a fun person so like, not that the other people aren’t fun people. The candidates, they’re my friends and they’re cool, but I just think I’m better.
What activities are you involved in?
I’m in band. I’m one of the section leaders for band and for drumline. I’m on the soccer team, and I do track.
Do you have any special plans for campaigning
Honestly, no. I made a post on social media but that’s really it. A lot of people like some of the candidates. They’re giving people food, but I’m not gonna do that mainly because I don’t think it’s very smart because especially speaking from my point of view. If I was one of the people and you came up to me with food, I’m gonna tell you what you want to hear, but I’m not actually going to vote for you. If I give them food, they’re not going to vote for me, so it’s just giving free food and wasting my money.

I’m on the wrestling team and soccer team; I made captain on both, and I’m in National Honors Society.
Do you have any special plans for campaigning?
Right now, I’ve just been giving out snacks. I have chips, honey buns, and rice crispy treats.

Me just hanging out, going out to eat, chilling. That’s really it. Maybe the after stuff going to six flags and all that fun stuff.
