The new Play-In for the seventh and eighth seed in the east and west has shaken up the tournament.
With the Warriors playing the Grizzlies in San Francisco and winning, they now clinch the seventh seed. The Magic also clinched a seventh seed in the East beating the Hawks in a Play-In game.
Many fans like the Warriors and the Magic and are happy that they made the playoffs.
Coach Bo Patton is most excited to see “Boston and Cleveland in the East and Okc and the Lakers in the West,” while Mr. Daniel Klimczak is excited for the Thunder and Shai Gil Alexander, along with the Celtics. “The Celtics have the most put together team in the whole NBA,” he said.
Fans are also excited to watch Lebron James play in one of his last playoffs with the Lakers.
Mr. Patton believes the Lakers and the Nuggets have the best players in the league. Nikola Jokic, who won Most Valuable Player two seasons in a row, stars for the Nuggets.
Junior Jiovani Jones disagrees.
“The Warriors and Celtics will both make the finals because Steph Curry is the best player in the NBA and I believe the Celtics and Jayson Tatum are the best team in the league right now,” he said.
You know every NBA playoffs has an underdog and it surprises me who Merrillville High school has chosen as their underdogs.
Jones chose the Pistons, “because they are starting to do a lot better after the trade deadline.” The Pistons went on a 8- game win streak after the trade deadline so this statement has many truths in it.
I believe the Pistons are a very sleepy team in the league and also everyone is surprised about the Warriors being in the play-in.
I think Stephen Curry is the best point guard in the league and the Warriors are a very good team but lack some bench pieces so maybe that’s why they fell to a Play-in.
Mr. Klimczak thinks the Warriors may be underestimated.
“They have made a lot of changes after the trade deadline, picking up Jimmy Butler, and obviously have Curry doing his thing,” he said.
