Is Travis Scott meal worth the hype?

Mariah Dean, Staff Writer

The new hype for the past two weeks has been the Travis Scott meal at McDonalds. Priced at $6 the meal includes a quarter pounder with 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and bacon. The meal also includes an order of fries and a complementary bbq sauce and Sprite.

McDonald’s has only had one other collaboration with a famous celebrity. The collaboration was with Michael Jordan in 1993.

Scott announced his collaboration with McDonald’s on Sept. 3, when he posted a photo of him eating the meal and posted an ad. Then, viral videos began to spread. But I am now here to give my honest opinion on the Travis Scott meal.

I could keep this review short and simple by saying it’s just a basic cheeseburger, yet that would be boring. McDonald’s definitely don’t have the best burgers but they’re not terrible. You can only expect so much when ordering something from there. Yet, the meal is genius. It gives fans the chance to experience what he eats from McDonalds for a simple $6.

I am a pretty big Travis Scott fan myself, so I had to get my hands on one of these meals. The trip was worth the $6 I spent. Yet, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to get the meal again. I’m glad I got the experience but overall, the burger was overhyped. I give the meal a solid 6.5/10. It wasn’t a Five Guys burger or anything but it was pretty good.
