After completing its 18th consecutive IHSAA Sectional Championship, the wrestling team swiftly captured its fourth consecutive Regional title, sending 11 finalists to the East Chicago Semi-State on Saturday, Feb. 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The 11 finalists competing will be Theodore Sparks (285), Joy Cantu (106), David Maldonado (126), Nasir Christian (120), Matthew Maldonado (113), Ruben Padilla (132), Lucus Clement (138), Adrian Pellot (145),  Tajion Span (152) and Caleb Carter (160).

The team’s record is 15-1, with a winning percentage of .938. Each player enters into Semi-State having more than 10 individual wins. Five of the players going to Semi-State were regional champions: David Maldonado, Sparks, Carter, Clement and Padilla.
